DA 7300 - NIR Analyzer
On-line instrument for continuous analysis of moisture, protein, fat and more in your process.
The DA 7300 In-line NIR Analyzer is an advanced, modern in-line NIR analyzer for use in the processing of grain, flour, food and feed.
The DA 7300 gives real-time feedback on the product, while it is being produced; this allows for immediate access to data without having to wait for lab results. This provides such advantages as:
- Enabling automated process control
- Allowing immediate manual intervention.
- Faster start-up and grade changes
- Complete traceability of the entire production
Instrument overview
The DA 7300 is an in-line NIR instrument that provides users with results in an industry standard communications interface.
The data may be displayed either on a computer with interface software installed or may even be integrated fully into existing quality control and assurance systems. The DA 7300 was specifically designed for measurement to occur within a chamber or vessel. The optical device extends through the wall of the chamber, where the product to be analyzed is presented. This design promotes usage with powders, grains, granules, pellets and similar such products as they are conveyed.
Technology
No moving parts
Diode array technology is exclusive within the sense that it does not use any moving elements within the prism spectroscope. This greatly improves the soundness of the instrument as there aren't any elements that may be exhausted or misaligned. The result's associate instrument which needs abundant less maintenance than once moving elements square measure used, as an example is that the case with scanning monochromators.
A lamp illuminates the sample with white light. a portion of the light is absorbed (depending on the composition of the sample) and also the rest is mirrored. The light that is mirrored hits a stationary grating, that separates the light by wavelength. Rather than white light, we get a 'rainbow'. Each wavelength is measured by a dedicated detector.
All wavelengths simultaneously
With diode array technology all wavelengths are measured at the same time, as every wavelength has a dedicated detector. this is often necessary in order to analyze a moving sample. using scanning monochromator technology or Spinning filter wheel, the spectrum is collected one wavelength at the time, and if the sample moves the image will be blurred.
Line source Wavelength stabilisation
In all optical systems, microscopic mechanical movements occur over time and with temperature changes. These little movements create changes within the wavelength scale and alignment. in order to realize future stability, it's imperative to correct for any such changes dynamically. within the DA 7300 On-line, this is often done using a line source that brings the wavelength axis back to the starting point. The advantage of employing a line source is that this emits light with peaks at sure wavelengths. The position of those peaks rely upon the line source used and is constant with that material. this provides unexcelled wavelength axis accuracy and long term stability.
Dual lamp with automatic switch-over.
In order to avoid down-time and expensive rush repair jobs, the system is fitted with twin lamps. Once the first lamp reach the end of its operating life, the second lamp is mechanically put in to operation in a seamless transition.
Repeatable sample presentation: | Ensures highly accurate and repeatable results. |
Easy Instrument Cleaning: | A view window on the side is easily removable for cleaning the instrument window without having to remove the instrument. |
Manual Sampler: | A sliding sampler mechanism allows a manual sample to be taken. By pressing a button, the instrument readings corresponding to the sample is tagged in the database for future reference. |
Non-Blockage design: | By design, the over-flow section can handle the entire product flow, ensuring there is no production interruption even if the measurement part is blocked. |
