PBI-Dansensor has developed a compact on-line leak system, making it possible to spot leaky packages in large shipping crates. The CO₂ already present in the MAP packages as trace gas can be used to test all packages shortly after leaving the packaging machine.

Naturally, this test method is non-destructive and it has the added bonus of making it possible to test 4-6 cartons per minute.
